Pure Motorsport was born in 2008 after those involved in the successful SA Rallying site sarally.com.au realised they could help better promote motorsport in Australia. Our goal is simple: to increase the promotion of motorsport in Australia. We are of the opinion that if motorsport in Australia is better promoted, it will present better value for money for sponsors. This will make it easier for competitors and events with a professional approach to seek sponsorship.

Following a successful broadcast at the 2009 Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA, which saw PureMotorsport.TV become one of the most popular rally web sites in Australia, the team decided to develop a new web site, PureMotorsport.TV Version 2. The new site has been developed with signficant input from a variety of parties, and has been developed to address every shortfall of the Version 1 site, designed specifically for Sprint Auto Parts Rally SA.
